How can I observe the recommended shelf life of a wheel if it does not show a manufacturing date?

This concerns only flat or depressed centre bonded wheels for cutting-off with an angle grinder or a petrol saw. If you can’t find a manufacturing date on the wheel or packaging, you have to look for the expiry date.

The expiry date is marked on the wheel, and often stamped on the metal centre. It is presented this way: V../YY or V../YYYY. For instance: V01/18 or V01/2018 means that the wheel should not be used after the first quarter of the year 2018. Beyond this date, the wheel could be damaged and may break, causing severe injuries.

Destroy the wheels which are expired, to make sure no one could use them and get hurt.
